1. Introduction

Welcome to the Engagement Platform ("Platform"), operated by The Iris Project gGmbH. This Platform serves as a space for public consultations on development-bank projects.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.

3. Service Description

The Platform provides a space for three main roles: Community members (who make submissions), Bank/EBRD staff (who review and respond), and Bankwatch monitors (who provide independent oversight). The Platform is provided for demonstration purposes.

4. User Accounts

Registration is optional for submitting feedback. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining its security.

5. Privacy Modes and Anonymity

Users may submit feedback publicly, identified only to the bank, or completely anonymously. We respect your chosen privacy mode and do not attempt to re-identify anonymous users.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Submit abusive, unlawful, or defamatory content.
  • Impersonate others.
  • Use the Platform for anything other than genuine consultation input.
  • Attempt to compromise the Platform's security.

We ask all users to respect others when providing feedback.

7. Intellectual Property

The Platform is operated by The Iris Project gGmbH and is "Powered by Iris". Content you submit remains your property, but you grant us a license to process and display it according to your chosen privacy mode.

8. Confidentiality

We treat submissions according to the privacy mode selected by the user. Submissions marked "Identified to the bank only" will not be made public. We will not disclose internal review details unless required by a formal legal process.

9. Limitation of Liability (Demo)

DEMO / NO-WARRANTY: This is a demonstration platform provided "as is" without any warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any issues arising from the use of this demonstration environment.

10. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

The Iris Project gGmbH is a German non-profit organization. Governed by the laws of [jurisdiction — to be confirmed by legal counsel].
